Kominato Tetsudo KIHA 40 is a former JR (JNR) diesel car that started commercial operation in April 2021.
The vehicle that became KIHA 40-1 was changed to a paint color that matches the Kiha 200 type that is active in the company, and the “K.T.K” logo and markings indicating Kominato Railway were added to each part.
The vehicle that became KIHA 40-2 has a logo and markings added to each part while retaining the color of the Tohoku region headquarters before the transfer.
